The short version
Avoma leads because it publishes everything: a $19 base seat, a $29 Conversation Intelligence add-on with custom AI scorecards on every call, and free seats for managers who only review. Fathom is the cheapest way to get scorecards, with a free plan for recording and AI scorecards on its $25 Business tier. Gong has the deepest analytics and ties coaching to forecasting, but it is quote-only with a platform fee. Sybill coaches through plain-language questions, Fireflies.ai and tl;dv add coaching metrics or playbook checks to low-cost notetakers, and Jiminny offers scorecards without a platform fee on a 12-month contract. Salesloft, Outreach and Chorus make most sense for teams already on those platforms.
Short answer
Avoma is the best conversation intelligence software for small and mid-size sales teams in 2026, with AI call scoring as a $29 add-on to a $19 seat. Fathom suits startups that want free recording and AI scorecards from $25 a user, and Gong suits enterprises that want the deepest analytics on a negotiated contract. Fireflies.ai is the cheapest paid option at $10 per seat a month billed annually.
This list is for sales leaders and enablement teams choosing software that records sales calls, transcribes them and scores them so managers can coach reps on real conversations. We compared documented features and published prices for 10 tools, from AI notetakers with coaching tiers to revenue platforms with live call guidance, and scored each on capabilities, ease of setup and value. Prices are the cheapest paid plan in US dollars as shown on the vendor's own page when we checked it; the scoring and coaching features often sit on a higher tier, which each entry notes. The spec sheet's call scoring column shows how each vendor documents scoring.

Price
From $19 per recorder seat per month billed annually; Conversation Intelligence add-on $29 per seat per month billed annually
Quoted from the Avoma pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Startup $19 Per "recorder" seat per month. Billed annually.
Avoma gives a sales manager most of what the enterprise suites offer for coaching, at a price you can see before a demo. The base Startup seat costs $19 per recorder per month on annual billing and covers recording, transcription in 70+ languages and AI notes. Coaching lives in the Conversation Intelligence add-on at $29 per seat per month billed annually, which adds AI Call Scoring, AI coaching recommendations, Smart Trackers and a global Ask Avoma search. Scorecards can follow a pre-built sales methodology template or a custom rubric, and Avoma states they cover 100% of calls, so managers can sort by low scores instead of sampling recordings. Viewers and collaborators are free, which keeps the cost tied to the reps who record. CRM sync covers Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive and Copper, and dialer integrations include Aircall, RingCentral and Dialpad. The catch is stacking: base seat plus add-on lands near $48 a rep each month, and forecasting is a further add-on.
What it does well
- +Published prices for every plan and add-on
- +Viewers and collaborators are free, so managers can review without a seat
- +Unrestricted 14-day trial of the Organization plan with all add-ons
Where it falls short
- −Call scoring sits in a separate $29 add-on on top of the base seat
- −Deal risk and forecasting need another add-on
- −No permanent free plan
- Plans
- Startup, Organization, Enterprise
- Conversation Intelligence add-on

Free plan; Team from $15 per user per month billed annually (2 user minimum); Business with AI scorecards from $25
Quoted from the Fathom pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Team $ 19 $15 $19 /month / per user (2 user min)
Fathom is the easiest way to get every rep recording calls, because the free plan already includes unlimited recordings, transcriptions, instant summaries and clips. Coaching starts on the team tiers. Team costs $15 per user per month on annual billing with a two-user minimum and adds a shared workspace, playlists, trackers and Ask Fathom across team calls. Business, at $25 per user per month billed annually, adds coaching metrics that track speaking patterns, AI scorecards, Deal View, which gathers every call on a deal in one place, and CRM field sync that updates records after meetings. Summary templates cover sales frameworks including BANT and Sandler. Integrations include HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier and a public API with MCP. Fathom also says teams leaving Gong can get Business free through their existing contract with data migration. It is a meeting tool first, so forecasting and pipeline analytics are thinner than in Gong or Salesloft.
What it does well
- +Permanent free plan with unlimited recordings
- +Self-serve start with a 90 day guarantee on paid plans
- +Offers Fathom Business free for the rest of a Gong contract when switching
Where it falls short
- −AI scorecards and CRM field sync need Business at $25 per user
- −Team plans require at least 2 users
- −Lighter on deal forecasting than the revenue suites
- Plans
- Free, Premium, Team, Business, Enterprise
- Business price
- $25 per user per month billed annually, $34 monthly

Gong remains the reference point for conversation intelligence in large sales teams. It records and transcribes calls, meetings and emails automatically, then its models flag topics, objections, competitor mentions and buying signals, and it says it captures 99% of customer interactions. Managers get dashboards, scorecards and coaching recommendations built from real calls, while AI agents write summaries, update CRM fields and draft follow-ups. The same conversation data powers Gong Enable for coaching programs, Gong Forecast for deal risk and Gong Engage for outreach, which is the main reason enterprises pick it over point tools. Gong lists more than 5,000 customers. The trade-off is cost and process: the pricing page explains that licenses are per user with a platform fee scaled to user count, and every quote starts with a form. Smaller teams will pay for depth they may not use.
What it does well
- +The broadest analytics here, trained on what Gong calls billions of sales interactions
- +One platform for coaching, deal risk and forecasting
- +More than 5,000 customers according to Gong
Where it falls short
- −No published price; per-user licenses plus a platform fee
- −Setup goes through sales and a custom proposal
- −More platform than a small team needs

Free plan; Pro from $30 per user per month billed annually; Business $90
Quoted from the Sybill pricing page on November 7, 2026:
$30 USD/Month/User
Sybill approaches coaching as a conversation with your call data rather than a scorecard workflow. Reps ask Ask Sybill how strong their discovery was or how their objection handling compares to last quarter, and managers ask which reps need help or who improved talk-to-listen ratio the most in 30 days. Answers draw on calls, CRM, email and calendar data. Capture covers video meetings through an invisible recorder, dialer calls from tools such as Aircall and RingCentral, and in-person meetings through the mobile app, with support for 100+ languages. The free plan includes unlimited recordings and transcripts with 20 AI summaries a month. Pro costs $30 per user per month on annual billing and pushes summaries into the CRM. Business, at $90, adds full CRM context inside Ask Sybill, which is where manager analysis gets most useful, so the plan most coaching teams need is the expensive one. Sybill says more than 850 sales teams use it daily.
What it does well
- +Free plan with unlimited recordings and transcripts
- +Coaching works through plain questions, so no scorecard setup is required
- +Support for 100+ languages
Where it falls short
- −CRM context in Ask Sybill needs the $90 Business plan
- −Credit allowances apply per plan
- −Formal scorecards are less prominent than in Avoma or Gong

Free plan; Pro from $10 per seat per month billed annually; Business with conversation intelligence $19
Quoted from the Fireflies.ai pricing page on November 7, 2026:
$10 per seat / month, billed annually
Fireflies.ai is the low-cost way to give a whole sales team transcripts and some coaching data. The free plan transcribes without limit with capped AI summaries and storage, and Pro costs $10 per seat per month on annual billing. Conversation intelligence arrives with Business at $19 per seat billed annually, adding team analytics for admins. Managers can compare reps on questions asked, talk-to-listen ratio, longest monologue and filler words, track how often competitors, objections and pricing come up, and filter by speaker or sentiment. Transcription covers 100+ languages, and Fireflies connects to 240+ apps, including CRMs and dialers. What it does not publish is AI call scoring against a rubric, so managers still decide what good looks like and review calls themselves. Fireflies is a meeting assistant used across recruiting, product and marketing too, which makes it easy to roll out company-wide but less tailored to sales methodology.
What it does well
- +Lowest paid entry price on this list
- +Free plan with unlimited transcription
- +SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA compliance options
Where it falls short
- −No published AI call scorecards
- −Conversation intelligence starts on Business at $19

Free plan; Pro from $18 per seat per month billed annually; Business with playbook monitoring $29
Quoted from the tl;dv pricing page on November 7, 2026:
$18 per seat/month, billed annually
tl;dv suits managers who coach to a playbook and want to see whether reps follow it. Its Business plan, at $29 per seat per month on annual billing, adds AI playbook monitoring, AI objection handling, unlimited multi-meeting AI insights and scheduled AI reports, with no usage-based AI fees. Below that, the free plan records unlimited video with 10 AI-noted meetings, and Pro at $18 per seat per month billed annually adds unlimited AI notes, custom note templates, follow-up email drafts and 5,000+ integrations through Zapier. Recording covers Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and transcription works in 30+ languages. CRM field mapping logs notes and insights into deal records, and the API, webhooks and MCP server let RevOps teams route data elsewhere. It is not a revenue platform: there is no forecasting or pipeline inspection, and phone dialer coverage is less documented than Avoma's or Sybill's, so it fits video-first sales motions best.
What it does well
- +Free plan with unlimited video recordings
- +No usage-based AI fees on Business
- +Self-serve trial of Business
Where it falls short
- −Playbook monitoring needs the $29 Business plan
- −Fewer published languages than Fireflies or Sybill

Jiminny sits between the AI notetakers and the enterprise suites. It records phone and video calls, transcribes them in 60+ languages and logs details, transcripts and AI summaries to Salesforce or HubSpot. For coaching, it gives instant AI feedback and scorecards on real calls and lets managers build playlists of the best ones for ramping new hires. Competitive intelligence shows when and how rivals come up in deals. Three plans, Capture, Scale and Grow, step from recording to rep coaching to performance and deal health views. Pricing is quote-based and built from three seat types: Recording seats for reps, Insights seats for managers and coaches, and Listener seats for people who only read transcripts. Jiminny says it charges no platform fee and no usage credits, only a one-time setup fee, but contracts run at least 12 months. A 14-day full trial without a card makes it easy to test before talking terms.
What it does well
- +No platform fee, only a one-time setup fee

Salesloft Conversation Intelligence is the choice when calls should drive the rest of the sales workflow rather than sit in a separate library. Since Salesloft and Clari combined, the old Clari Copilot product page redirects here, and the Salesloft login menu now includes Clari Forecast. The product records, transcribes and analyzes every sales call, scores calls automatically and tracks objections across the pipeline. During calls, battlecards and real-time AI guidance help reps handle objections. Afterward, AI writes summaries and follow-up emails and updates the CRM, and coachable moments become tasks in rep workflows, so coaching happens between weekly one-on-ones too. Stakeholder sentiment and buying group views show where to engage next, and buyer signals flow into the forecast. Prices are not published and purchases go through sales, and the case for it is strongest if you also run Cadence, Deals or Clari Forecast.
What it does well
- +Calls feed directly into cadences, deals and Clari Forecast
- +Live in-call guidance for objections
- +Coaching tasks land where reps already work
Where it falls short
- −No published pricing
- −Most value depends on buying the wider Salesloft platform
- −Sales-led setup

Outreach builds its conversation intelligence on Kaia, which joins meetings and calls live, shows real-time content cards and then produces transcripts, summaries, action items and CRM updates. For managers, the Topics report shows what buyers raise at each sales stage, playlists collect the best recordings for objection handling and ramping, and Kaia Chat lets account teams comment and give praise inside Outreach. Automated scoring arrives through AI Coach Cards in the Amplify Plus package, which also includes 50,000 AI credits and deal health alerts. A useful compliance option records only the seller side of a call, and Kaia Translations converts summaries and transcripts for global teams. Pricing is the drawback: Outreach combines per-seat access with consumption-based AI credits and publishes no figures, so cost depends on how much AI your team uses. For teams not already sequencing in Outreach, a standalone tool is easier to buy.
What it does well
- +Live in-call assist for reps
- +One-sided recording option helps with consent rules
- +Playlists for ramping and objection handling
Where it falls short
- −Pricing is request-only and mixes seats with AI credits
- −Automated scoring sits on the top Amplify Plus package
- −Best value only for existing Outreach users
- Pricing model
- Per-seat access plus consumption-based AI credits

Chorus captures and analyzes customer calls, meetings and emails, then turns them into three kinds of insight. Team performance views help managers identify winning behaviors, cut new-hire ramp time and check methodology adherence. Deal intelligence syncs contacts and communications from the field into the CRM to show deal momentum and churn risk. Market intelligence tracks competitors and customer language for product and marketing teams. Its distinguishing feature is the link to ZoomInfo: relationship history for each contact or company sits next to ZoomInfo's B2B data, which helps reps plan the next touch. ZoomInfo says Chorus is backed by 14 technology patents. The product page publishes far less than rivals on scoring, integrations or pricing, and every path leads to a demo request, so buyers should ask for specifics on scorecards and dialer coverage. For teams that do not buy ZoomInfo data, Gong or Avoma documents more for the money.
What it does well
- +Ties call insights to ZoomInfo's B2B data
- +Covers coaching, deal and market intelligence
- +Backed by 14 technology patents according to ZoomInfo
Where it falls short
- −No published price
- −Scoring and integration details are thin on the product page
- −Most useful when you also buy ZoomInfo data

Before you pick a product or a plan
Find where call scoring actually sits
Most tools record and transcribe on their entry plan, but scoring sits higher. Avoma's AI Call Scoring is a $29 add-on, Fathom's AI scorecards need Business at $25, tl;dv's playbook monitoring needs Business at $29, and Outreach's automated scoring is on Amplify Plus. Price the plan that has scoring, not the headline seat.
Count recorders, not everyone
Several vendors only charge for people who record. Avoma makes viewers and collaborators free, Jiminny splits Recording, Insights and Listener seats, and Gong adds a platform fee on top of per-user licenses. A team with many reviewers and few reps should favor recorder-based pricing.
Match capture to how your reps sell
Video-first teams are well served by tl;dv or Fathom. Phone-heavy teams should check dialer coverage: Avoma lists Aircall, RingCentral and Dialpad, Sybill captures dialer and in-person calls, and Jiminny records phone and video calls. Outreach offers one-sided recording where full recording needs consent.
Decide between a rubric and a question box
Avoma, Fathom, Jiminny and Salesloft score calls against scorecards or a methodology. Sybill lets managers ask which reps struggle with objections and compares reps on metrics. Fireflies.ai gives talk ratios and topic counts but no published scoring. Pick the style your managers will use each week.
Check contract terms before the demo
Fathom, Fireflies.ai, tl;dv and Sybill let you start free. Avoma and Jiminny offer 14-day trials, Jiminny then requires a 12-month minimum, and Gong, Salesloft, Outreach and Chorus price through sales. Ask quote-only vendors about platform fees and AI credit limits in writing.
Questions readers ask
- What is the best conversation intelligence software?
- Avoma is our top pick for most sales teams: it scores every call with custom AI scorecards through a $29 add-on on top of a $19 seat billed annually. Fathom is the best low-cost alternative, and Gong is the strongest choice for large enterprises that accept quote-based pricing.
- What is the cheapest conversation intelligence tool?
- Fireflies.ai has the lowest paid plan here at $10 per seat a month billed annually, and its free plan transcribes without limit. Its conversation intelligence features start on Business at $19. Fathom, tl;dv and Sybill also have free plans.
- How much does Gong cost?
- Gong does not publish prices. Its pricing page says licenses are priced per user, with a platform fee based on the number of users, and quotes start with a form.
- What happened to Clari Copilot and Wingman?
- Clari's Copilot product page now redirects to Salesloft Conversation Intelligence, and the Salesloft login menu includes Clari Forecast. We list the conversation product under Salesloft for that reason.
- Which tools score sales calls automatically?
- Avoma, Fathom Business, Jiminny, Salesloft and Outreach Amplify Plus document automated call scoring or AI scorecards. Gong documents scorecards and coaching recommendations, and tl;dv Business monitors playbook adherence.
