Dialogflow CX now lives inside Google Cloud's Conversational Agents service as the Flows edition: deterministic agents built with intents and flows on Google's natural language understanding. Playbooks add generative agents written as natural language instructions, with data stores and generative fallbacks. Pricing is the most transparent among the enterprise options here: Flows cost $0.007 per chat request and $0.001 per second of voice audio, and Playbooks cost $0.012 per request and $0.002 per second. Requests made while you work in the visual builder are free, 10 GiB of data store index storage is free each month, and new users get trial credits that expire after 12 months. One billing rule to watch: in a voice conversation that uses Playbooks at any point, Google bills the full duration at the Playbooks rate. Google also sells CX Agent Studio, a Gemini-based builder with 35 templates and voices in over 40 languages at $0.50 per session, so check which product your team should start on.
