The short version
Make is the most complete replacement for Zapier: 3,500+ apps, routers and error handlers that do not use credits, and a free plan with 1,000 credits a month. Activepieces is the easiest move for a small team on a budget, with a flat $20 Plus plan, up to 5 users and the same software available to run on your own servers. n8n changes the math the most for long workflows, because it bills per full workflow execution no matter how many steps run, and its Community Edition is free to self-host. Latenode bills for CPU time instead of actions, Albato, Integrately and Pabbly Connect undercut Zapier on task bundles, Power Automate fits Microsoft 365 companies that also want desktop RPA, and IFTTT covers personal and smart home automations for a few dollars a month.
Short answer
Make is the best Zapier alternative for teams that want visual, branching automations across 3,500+ apps in 2026; Activepieces suits small teams that want a flat $20 a month plan with an open-source, self-hostable option; IFTTT is the cheapest paid option at $2.09 a month billed annually.
This list is for Zapier users who have run into task caps, a plan jump they did not budget for, or limits on multi-step logic, and want to know where to move. It compares visual scenario builders, open-source platforms you can host yourself, usage-priced tools that bill for runtime instead of steps, budget task bundles and the Microsoft option. We compared documented features and published prices on each vendor's own pages and scored capabilities at 40%, ease of setup at 30% and value at 30%. Starting prices are the cheapest paid plan in USD. Make did not show its plan prices to us, and n8n and Pabbly Connect displayed EUR and INR from our location, so those three are marked pending. Relay.app was on our shortlist but shut down in September 2026, and Pipedream now sells a developer connector product rather than a Zapier-style builder, so neither is ranked.

Make is the natural next step for Zapier users whose workflows have outgrown a straight line. Scenarios are drawn on a visual canvas, and Make says it connects 3,500+ apps out of the box. Billing is in credits: each module action usually costs 1 credit, while the router and error handler modules (Rollback, Break, Resume, Commit, Ignore) cost nothing, so branching logic does not inflate the bill the way extra Zap steps can. The Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month. When credits run low you can buy bundles of 1,000 or 10,000 at your plan's fixed rate or turn on auto-purchase on Core, Pro and Teams, and incoming webhooks queue up rather than vanish if you do run out. Companies under 20 employees can apply for the Start-up Plan at 50% off Business. The pricing page did not show plan prices to us, so the starting price is pending, and AI steps can use more than 1 credit.
What it does well
- +Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month
- +Branching logic does not add to the bill
- +Start-up Plan gives qualifying teams under 20 employees 50% off Business

Free plan with 1,000 credits a month; Plus costs $20 flat per month
Quoted from the Activepieces pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Plus For daily builders $20 flat per month
Activepieces is the alternative to try if Zapier's per-seat and per-task jumps are the main complaint. The Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month, unlimited flows and up to 5 users, with flows, agents, tables, MCPs and API access all available. Plus costs $20 flat per month for 10 times the Free allowance and still covers up to 5 users, then charges $0.007 per credit past the allowance. Team is $200 flat a month with 25 users, SSO and email support. Every plan lists cloud or on-prem hosting, and the 770+ pieces are open source, which helps teams that want to read or extend the integration code. The trade-offs are a smaller catalog than Make or Zapier, a daily reset on free credits, and a large gap between the Plus and Team tiers once a company needs more than 5 users.
What it does well
- +Flat $20 Plus plan covers up to 5 users
- +Free plan has unlimited flows and up to 5 users
- +Overage on paid plans is $0.007 per credit
Where it falls short
- −Smaller app catalog than Make or Zapier
- −Free credits reset daily, so a busy day waits for tomorrow
- −Jump from Plus at $20 to Team at $200 is steep
- Free plan
- Yes, 1,000 credits a month, up to 5 users
- Plus
- $20 flat per month, 10x the Free credits
- Team
- $200 flat per month, 25 users included
- Overage

No US price was listed when we checked. See the n8n pricing page.
n8n is the strongest pick for Zapier users whose bills grow because their workflows have many steps. Every plan is priced on monthly workflow executions, and n8n says each execution includes unlimited steps, so a long enrichment or AI chain counts once per run. All plans include unlimited users, workflows and every integration, and n8n states it only charges when a workflow runs from start to finish. The hosted Starter plan includes 2.5k executions and 5 concurrent runs with agents, MCP and AI nodes; Pro raises that to 10k executions and up to 50 concurrent. Business adds SSO, LDAP, Git version control and queue mode, but runs self-hosted only. The Community Edition is free on your own servers. Prices displayed in EUR from our location, so the USD entry price is pending, and the editor expects more technical comfort than Zapier.
What it does well
- +A 20-step workflow costs the same as a 2-step one
- +Community Edition is free to self-host
- +Executions that do not run to completion are not billed
Where it falls short
- −Prices showed in EUR from our location, so USD is pending
- −Steeper learning curve than trigger and action builders
- −Business plan with SSO and Git is self-hosted only
- Free option
- Community Edition, self-hosted
- Billing unit
- Workflow executions with unlimited steps
- Starter
- 2.5k executions, 5 concurrent
- Pro
- 10k executions, up to 50 concurrent
- Start-up offer
- 50% off Business for qualifying teams under 20 employees

Free plan with 10,000 CPU seconds a month; then pay as you go, for example $10.80 for 100,000 CPU seconds
Quoted from the Latenode pricing page on November 7, 2026:
100,000 short workflows/month About 1 second each $10.80
Latenode takes a different route from Zapier's task model: it charges for how long workflows run, measured in CPU seconds, and says unlimited workflow steps do not multiply the bill. The Free plan includes 10,000 CPU seconds a month, which Latenode puts at up to 10,000 quick runs of about one second each, with 5 active workflows and 3 minutes per run. After that, pay as you go has no base fee and uses tiered rates starting at $0.00012 per CPU second; the vendor's own example puts 100,000 one-second runs at $10.80 a month. Scaling unlocks unlimited active scenarios, 5 parallel workers and 30-day run history. Builders can write JavaScript in any node, automate websites with a headless browser and use 335+ LLM models, and a migration calculator compares bills against Zapier, Make and n8n. Runtime billing is harder to forecast for slow API calls.
What it does well
- +Free plan includes 10,000 CPU seconds every month
- +Pay as you go has no base fee
- +Unlimited workflow steps do not multiply the bill
Where it falls short
- −Costs depend on runtime, which is harder to predict than tasks
- −Free plan is limited to 5 active workflows and 3 minutes per run
- −Code nodes push it toward technical users
- Free plan
- Yes, 10,000 CPU seconds a month
- Billing unit
- CPU seconds of runtime
- Paid usage
- From $0.00012 per CPU second, lower at volume
- Apps
- 800+
- Run limit
- 3 minutes on Free, 10 minutes when you scale

Free plan with 100 transactions; Pro from $15 a month billed annually ($22 monthly)
Quoted from the Albato pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Trial 7 days $22 /mo $15 /mo 1K transactions
Albato is a close match for how Zapier works, at a lower price per month. The Free plan gives 100 transactions, 5 active automations with 2 steps each, unlimited apps and connections, and a 15-minute update interval. Pro costs $15 a month billed annually, or $22 month to month, includes 1K transactions and a 7-day trial, and removes the automation and step limits while adding data migration with auto replay, parallel scenario execution, Albato AI, AI Agents and a 5-minute update interval. Extra transactions on Pro cost $0.0330 each. Teams is $65 a month billed annually from 5K transactions with 5 seats, roles and projects, which suits agencies. Albato also sells an embedded iPaaS and a universal MCP that lets AI agents reach its 1,000+ connectors. The app catalog is smaller than Make's, so check niche apps first.
What it does well
- +Pro starts at $15 a month billed annually
- +Unlimited apps and connections even on Free
- +Extra transactions cost $0.0330 each on Pro
Where it falls short
- −Free plan allows 5 active automations with 2 steps each
- −Free plan updates every 15 minutes
- −Smaller catalog than Make or Zapier

Free plan with 100 tasks; Starter from $19.99 a month billed annually
Quoted from the Integrately pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Starter $ 19 .99 per month, billed annually (saves 33%) 2,000 Tasks
Integrately suits Zapier users who mostly connect common apps and would rather pick a ready automation than design one. The site advertises 20 million+ ready automations for 1,500+ apps that can be switched on in one click. The Free plan includes 100 tasks with single-step automations and a 15-minute interval. Starter is $19.99 a month billed annually for 2,000 tasks, multiple steps, 5-minute webhooks, branching with paths and routers, and 1 user. Professional is $39 a month billed annually for 10,000 tasks with unlimited automations and 2-minute intervals, and the page sets it against a popular alternative it says charges $129 for that volume. Growth and Business tiers add more tasks and an account manager. Live chat support runs 24*5 on every plan. Complex logic and data handling are thinner than on Make or n8n, so it fits simple, high-volume app syncs best.
What it does well
- +Fastest path from sign-up to a working automation
- +Professional includes 10,000 tasks for $39 a month billed annually
- +Live chat support starts on the Free plan
Where it falls short
- −Free plan is single step only
- −Starter is limited to 1 user
- −Fewer building blocks for complex logic than Make or n8n
- Free plan
- Yes, 100 tasks, single step
- Starter
- $19.99 a month billed annually, 2,000 tasks

No US price was listed when we checked. See the Pabbly Connect pricing page.
Pabbly Connect targets Zapier's pricing head on, and its pricing page lists what Zapier charges next to each tier. A task is counted only when an action runs on an external app; internal apps such as Filter, Router, Text Formatter and Number Formatter are free, and the checks it makes for new data count as operations, which are unlimited. That makes workflows with lots of logic cheaper than the step count suggests. The Free plan gives 100 tasks a month with no credit card, the Standard plan includes 10,000 tasks a month, and every plan has unlimited workflows. Builders get a JavaScript and Python module and automatic re-execution of failed or skipped steps. Pabbly also offers multi-year and one-time payment options and a 30-day refund guarantee. Prices displayed in INR from our location, so the USD entry price is pending, and team members require a yearly plan.
What it does well
- +Free plan gives 100 tasks a month with no card
- +Logic and formatting steps do not use tasks
- +30-day refund guarantee
Where it falls short
- −Prices showed in INR from our location, so USD is pending
- −Team members are not available on monthly plans
- −Interface and catalog are less polished than Make's
- Free plan

Premium from $15.00 per user a month, paid yearly; 30-day free trial
Quoted from the Microsoft Power Automate pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Power Automate Premium $15.00 user/month, paid yearly
Power Automate is the logical Zapier alternative for companies that already live in Microsoft 365. Premium costs $15.00 per user a month, paid yearly, and covers cloud flows with premium connectors, attended desktop flows for robotic process automation, and process and task mining with 50 MB of data stored. Because it is licensed per user, a heavy individual workflow does not hit a task cap the way it can on Zapier. Microsoft lists more than 1,000 API connectors plus custom connectors, native experiences in Teams, Excel and SharePoint, and Copilot for building flows from plain language. Unattended bots that run without a person are licensed separately: Process is $150.00 per bot a month and Hosted Process $215.00, both paid yearly. There is a 30-day trial. Licensing has more moving parts than Zapier, and outside the Microsoft stack it loses much of its appeal.
What it does well
- +Per-user price instead of per-task metering
- +Automates legacy desktop apps with RPA
- +Custom API connectors when a prebuilt one is missing
Where it falls short
- −Unattended RPA needs Process at $150 per bot a month paid yearly
- −Licensing is more complex than Zapier's plans
- −Best fit only if the company already runs Microsoft 365
- Premium
- $15.00 per user a month, paid yearly
- Process
- $150.00 per bot a month, paid yearly
- Hosted Process
- $215.00 per bot a month, paid yearly
- Connectors
- 1,000+ API connectors

Free plan with 1,000 credits a month; Starter from $2.09 a month billed annually
Quoted from the IFTTT pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Starter $2.09 / month $25.08 billed annually
IFTTT is the cheap answer for people who used Zapier for personal automations rather than business processes. It connects 1,000+ services through Applets, and every plan, including Free, allows unlimited Applets with all features unlocked. Credits power Applet runs, MCP usage and AI features. Free includes 1,000 credits a month, Starter is $2.09 a month billed annually ($25.08 a year) for 5,000 credits with faster Applet speeds, Pro is $5.49 a month billed annually for 20,000 credits with priority speeds, and Pro+ is $13.99 a month billed annually for 100,000 credits, the fastest speeds and multiple accounts per service. Applets can include IFTTT's AI Agent, Summarizer and Translator. The trade-off is depth: IFTTT is designed around simple trigger and action pairs, so lead routing, data transformation or multi-branch business workflows belong on Make, n8n or Activepieces instead.
What it does well
- +Cheapest paid plan on this list at $2.09 a month billed annually
- +All features unlocked on the Free plan
- +Very quick to set up simple automations
Where it falls short
- −Not built for multi-app business workflows
- −Only Pro+ supports multiple accounts per service
- −Applet speed depends on the plan tier
- Free plan
- Yes, 1,000 credits a month
- Starter
- $2.09 a month billed annually, 5,000 credits
- Pro
- $5.49 a month billed annually, 20,000 credits
- Pro+
- $13.99 a month billed annually, 100,000 credits

Before you pick a product or a plan
Translate your Zapier task count first
Pull last month's task usage from Zapier, then map it to each vendor's unit. Make and Activepieces count credits per action, Albato counts transactions, Integrately and Pabbly Connect count tasks, n8n counts whole workflow executions with unlimited steps, and Latenode charges for CPU seconds. A ten-step workflow that runs 1,000 times is 1,000 executions on n8n but roughly 10,000 actions on per-step tools.
Check what is free inside a workflow
Several alternatives do not bill for logic steps. Make does not count credits for its router or error handler modules, and Pabbly Connect does not count internal apps such as filters, routers and formatters, or the polling checks it makes for new data. These rules matter more than the headline price if your workflows branch a lot.
Decide if you want to self-host
n8n's Community Edition is free on your own servers, and Activepieces lists cloud or on-prem hosting on every plan. Self-hosting removes per-run fees but adds server, update and backup work. Everything else on this list is cloud hosted, apart from Power Automate's desktop flows on Windows.
Look at polling speed and step limits
Cheap plans often check for new data slowly or cap steps. Albato Free updates every 15 minutes with 2 steps per automation and 5 active automations, Integrately Free is single step, and Latenode Free allows 5 active workflows and 3 minutes per run. Use webhooks where your apps support them.
Rebuild one workflow before you migrate
App catalogs differ widely, from 770+ pieces on Activepieces to 3,500+ apps on Make. Rebuild your busiest Zap on the free plan of your shortlist, confirm every app and trigger exists, and only then move the rest.
Questions readers ask
- What is the best Zapier alternative in 2026?
- Make ranks first on our list for its 3,500+ apps, visual branching and a free plan with 1,000 credits a month, and its router and error handler modules use no credits. Activepieces is second for small teams that want a flat $20 a month Plus plan and a self-hosting option.
- Which Zapier alternative is cheapest?
- IFTTT Starter costs $2.09 a month billed annually, but it suits personal automations. For business workflows, Albato Pro is $15 a month billed annually, Integrately Starter is $19.99 a month billed annually and Activepieces Plus is $20 flat per month. Latenode has no base fee and charges for CPU time after 10,000 free CPU seconds a month.
- Is there a free alternative to Zapier?
- Yes. Make, Activepieces, Latenode, Albato, Integrately, Pabbly Connect and IFTTT all have permanent free plans, and n8n's Community Edition is free to self-host. Free allowances range from 100 tasks or transactions on Integrately, Pabbly Connect and Albato to 1,000 credits on Make, Activepieces and IFTTT.
- Which Zapier alternative is best for workflows with many steps?
- n8n bills per workflow execution with unlimited steps, so a long workflow counts once per run. Latenode bills for CPU time and says extra steps do not multiply the bill, and Make does not charge credits for router or error handler modules.
- Can I self-host a Zapier alternative?
- Yes. n8n's Community Edition is available on GitHub to run on your own servers, and Activepieces lists cloud or on-prem hosting on all of its plans. Self-hosting removes per-run fees but adds server maintenance.
