The short version
Zapier is still the safest first choice: 9,000+ apps, a free plan with 100 tasks a month and Agents, Chatbots, Canvas and MCP included on every plan. Make is a close second for people who think in flowcharts and want branching, data stores and AI agents in one visual editor. Activepieces is the best value among open-source tools, with a $20 flat plan and the option to run on your own servers, while n8n has the deepest technical ceiling for teams that can handle a steeper setup. IFTTT is the cheap pick for personal and smart home automations, Albato, Integrately and Pabbly Connect undercut Zapier on task bundles, Power Automate fits Microsoft 365 shops that also need desktop RPA, and Gumloop suits teams moving from fixed workflows to AI agents.
Short answer
Zapier is the best no-code automation tool for teams that want the widest app catalog in 2026, with Professional from $19.99 a month billed annually; Make suits builders who want visual multi-branch scenarios and AI agents on a credit budget; IFTTT is the cheapest paid option at $2.09 a month billed annually, and Activepieces gives 1,000 free credits a month.
This list is for people and small teams who want apps to pass data to each other and run routine steps on their own, without writing code. It covers classic trigger and action builders, visual scenario editors, open-source platforms you can self-host and a few tools that now add AI agents on top. We compared documented features and published prices on each vendor's own pages and scored capabilities at 40%, ease of setup at 30% and value at 30%. Starting prices are the cheapest paid plan in USD. Make did not load its price table for us, and n8n and Pabbly Connect showed EUR and INR from our location, so those three are marked pending.

No US price was listed when we checked. See the Make pricing page.
Make is the strongest alternative to Zapier for people who prefer to see a workflow as a diagram. Scenarios are built on a visual canvas, by drag and drop or from a prompt, and Make says it connects 3,500+ apps out of the box, with anything that has an API addable as a custom integration. Credits are the billing unit: most actions use 1 credit, AI steps through Make's AI Provider can use more, and the Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month with no time limit. Core, Pro and Teams add more credits, with cheaper prices on annual payment. Recent additions include Make AI Agents, the Maia assistant for building and debugging, Make Grid for seeing every scenario and agent on one map, and an MCP server so AI chat apps can run scenarios. Prices did not render in USD for us, so the entry price is pending. The canvas has more concepts to learn than a simple Zap.
What it does well
- +Free plan has no time limit and needs no card
- +Most actions cost 1 credit, and extra credits come in bundles of 1,000 or 10,000
- +JavaScript or Python steps when a no-code module is not enough
Where it falls short
- −Prices did not load in USD from our location
- −Credits expire at the end of the term
- −The canvas takes longer to learn than linear trigger and action builders
- Free plan

Free plan with 100 tasks a month; Professional from $19.99 per month billed annually; Team from $69 per month
Quoted from the Zapier pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Professional Starting from $19.99 /month
Zapier ranks first because it still pairs the largest app catalog with the gentlest learning curve. Its pricing page lists 9,000+ app connections, and every plan, including Free, includes Zap workflows, Tables, Forms, Zapier Agents, Chatbots, Canvas and Zapier MCP. The Free plan gives 100 tasks a month but only two-step Zaps and 15-minute polling. Professional starts at $19.99 a month on yearly billing and unlocks multi-step Zaps, unlimited premium apps, webhooks and AI fields, with polling every 2 minutes. Team starts at $69 a month for 25 users with shared Zaps, shared app connections and SAML SSO. The drawback is cost at volume: the entry Professional tier covers 750 tasks a month, and each action step counts, so a few busy workflows push you up the task tiers. For most teams the time saved in setup still outweighs the higher per-task price.
What it does well
- +9,000+ app connections, the largest catalog on this list
- +Free plan has no time limit
- +Polling drops to 2 minutes on Professional and 1 minute on Team
Where it falls short
- −Professional starts at 750 tasks a month, so busy workflows climb tiers quickly
- −Free plan is limited to two-step Zaps and 15-minute polling
- −Live chat support starts at the Professional 2,000 task tier
- Free plan

Free plan with 1,000 credits a month; Plus $20 flat per month; Team $200 flat per month
Quoted from the Activepieces pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Plus For daily builders $20 flat per month
Activepieces earns third place on value and flexibility. It is open source, and its pricing page lists cloud or on-prem hosting on every plan, which few rivals offer at this price. The Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month, unlimited flows, up to 5 users and access to Flows, Agents, Tables, MCPs and the API. Plus costs a flat $20 a month for 10 times the free allowance, 10,000 credits, with extra usage at $0.007 per credit and the option to bring your own AI keys. Team is $200 flat for 50,000 credits, 25 users, SSO and unlimited projects. Its catalog of 770+ apps is smaller than Zapier's, so check your tools first. On the Free plan credits reset daily and runs past the quota wait until the next day, which is fine for testing but not for production work.
What it does well
- +Flat $20 plan covers up to 5 users
- +Unlimited flows on every plan
- +Overage on Plus and Team is $0.007 per credit instead of a forced upgrade
Where it falls short
- −Free credits reset daily and runs wait until the next day when used up
- −770+ apps is a smaller catalog than Zapier or Make
- −SSO starts at the $200 Team plan
- Free plan
- Yes, 1,000 credits a month, up to 5 users
- Plus
- $20 flat per month, 10,000 credits
- Team
- $200 flat per month, 50,000 credits, 25 users
- Annual discount

No US price was listed when we checked. See the n8n pricing page.
n8n has the highest ceiling of the tools here, which is why it scores well on capabilities despite a harder setup. Its pricing is based on workflow executions regardless of complexity, so a 40-step run costs the same as a 2-step run, and every plan includes unlimited users, workflows and integrations. Starter covers 2.5K executions a month and Pro 10K, both hosted by n8n with AI Agent nodes, MCP Server Trigger and MCP Client, human approval for tool calls and code steps in JavaScript or Python. Business adds SSO, Git version control and queue mode but is self-hosted only. The Community Edition is free to run on your own servers. Prices showed in EUR from our location, so the USD entry price is pending. Non-technical users will find the node editor and expressions harder than a linear trigger and action builder.
What it does well
- +A run costs the same however many steps it has
- +Community Edition is free to self-host
- +Unlimited users on every cloud plan
Where it falls short
- −Prices showed in EUR from our location
- −Steeper learning curve than Zapier or IFTTT
- −Business plan is self-hosted only
- Starter
- 2.5K workflow executions a month
- Pro
- 10K workflow executions a month

Free plan with 1,000 credits a month; Starter $2.09 per month billed annually; Pro $5.49; Pro+ $13.99
Quoted from the IFTTT pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Starter $2.09 / month $25.08 billed annually
IFTTT is the easiest and cheapest tool here, which carries it to fifth place despite thinner business features. Its plans page says all core features come on every plan, and credits are the only meter: 1,000 a month free, 5,000 on Starter at $2.09 a month billed annually, 20,000 on Pro and 100,000 on Pro+. Applets can now be generated from a plain language description, run several actions from one trigger, use filters, queries and delays, and include AI steps such as its AI Agent, Summarizer and Translator. IFTTT also exposes your Applets to AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT over MCP. The trade-off is speed and depth: the Free plan checks for new triggers every hour, and Starter every 15 minutes. It suits personal workflows, social posting and smart home routines far better than multi-department business processes.
What it does well
- +Cheapest paid plan on this list at $2.09 a month billed annually
- +Every plan includes all features and all services
- +Strong coverage of smart home devices
Where it falls short
- −Free plan checks for new triggers only every hour
- −Fewer business app integrations than Zapier or Make
- −Not built for long multi-branch business workflows
- Free plan
- Yes, 1,000 credits a month
- Starter
- $2.09 per month billed annually, 5,000 credits
- Pro
- $5.49 per month billed annually, 20,000 credits
- Pro+
- $13.99 per month billed annually, 100,000 credits
- Polling
- Hourly on Free, 15 min on Starter, 5 min on Pro

Free plan with 100 transactions; Pro $15 per month billed annually or $22 monthly; Teams $65 per month billed annually
Quoted from the Albato pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Trial 7 days $22 /mo $15 /mo 1K transactions
Albato is a solid low-cost alternative for teams that outgrow free tiers. Its pricing counts transactions only for steps that run after the trigger, so the trigger itself is free. The Free plan gives 100 transactions, 5 active automations, 2 steps per automation and 15-minute updates. Pro costs $15 a month billed annually, or $22 monthly, for 1K transactions with unlimited automations and steps, Albato AI, AI Agents, data migration, auto replay and 5-minute updates, plus a 7-day trial. Teams starts at $65 a month billed annually with 5 seats and 3-minute updates. If you run out mid-month, Albato keeps automations running on extra transactions priced 50% higher, which avoids broken workflows but can raise the bill. Its catalog of 1,000+ apps covers common CRMs and marketing tools but is smaller than the leaders'.
What it does well
- +Triggers do not consume transactions
- +Automations keep running past the quota instead of stopping
- +Pro starts at $15 a month billed annually
Where it falls short
- −Free plan is limited to 2 steps and 5 active automations
- −Extra transactions cost 50% more than included ones
- −Fastest update time on Pro is 5 minutes
- Free plan
- Yes, 100 transactions, 15-min updates

Price
Free plan with 100 tasks; Starter $19.99 per month billed annually; Professional $39; Growth $99
Quoted from the Integrately pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Starter $ 19 .99 per month, billed annually (saves 33%) 2,000 Tasks
Integrately's pitch is speed: pick an app pair, choose one of 20 million+ ready automations and switch it on. It lists 1,500+ apps and counts tasks only for successful actions, conditions, searches and data edits, so triggers are free and failed actions do not count. The Free plan offers 100 tasks with single-step automations and 15-minute checks. Starter costs $19.99 a month billed annually for 2,000 tasks, multi-step automations, 5-minute checks, 3 premium apps and 20 automations. Professional at $39 billed annually raises that to 10,000 tasks, unlimited automations and 2-minute checks, and Growth at $99 covers 30,000 tasks. Live chat support runs 24x5 on every plan. The catch is depth: inline data edits and searches count as separate tasks, and it documents fewer AI features than Zapier, Make or n8n.
What it does well
- +Starter includes 2,000 tasks, more than Zapier's entry tier
- +Free triggers and uncounted failures keep usage predictable
- +Live chat support even on Free
Where it falls short
- −Free plan is single step with 15-minute checks
- −Starter is limited to 3 premium apps and 20 automations
- −Smaller ecosystem of AI features than the leaders
- Free plan
- Yes, 100 tasks
- Starter
- $19.99 per month billed annually, 2,000 tasks
- Professional
- $39 per month billed annually, 10,000 tasks
- Growth
- $99 per month billed annually, 30,000 tasks

Pabbly Connect competes almost entirely on price per task. Its pricing page lists 2,000+ integrations, unlimited workflows on every plan and a free tier with 100 tasks and no card required. The Standard plan includes 10,000 tasks a month, and Pabbly does not count internal apps such as filters, routers and formatters as tasks, which makes long workflows cheaper than on Zapier. It also documents a JavaScript and Python code module and automatic re-execution of failed or skipped steps. Discounts grow with commitment: 15% on yearly, 20% on two-year and 25% on three-year terms, backed by a 30-day money back guarantee. The page showed prices in INR from our location, so the USD entry price is pending. Team member access is not available on monthly plans, and the interface and AI features are less polished than the top of this list.
What it does well
- +Internal steps do not use tasks
- +Discounts of 15%, 20% and 25% for 1, 2 and 3 year terms
- +30-day money back guarantee
Where it falls short
- −Prices showed in INR from our location
- −Team members are not available on monthly plans
- −Fewer documented AI agent features than the leaders

30-day free trial; Premium $15 per user per month paid yearly; Process $150 per bot per month
Quoted from the Microsoft Power Automate pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Power Automate Premium $15.00 user/month, paid yearly
Power Automate is the only tool here that pairs cloud workflows with desktop robotic process automation, which is why it scores high on capabilities. Premium costs $15 per user a month paid yearly and includes cloud flows, attended desktop flows, process and task mining with 50 MB of data and Dataverse storage of 250 MB database and 2 GB file. For bots that run without a person present, Process costs $150 per bot a month and Hosted Process, on a Microsoft-hosted virtual machine, $215. A 30-day trial covers UI-based cloud flows and standard connectors. Inside a Microsoft 365 tenant it fits existing sign-in and admin. Outside that world the value drops: there is no permanent free plan on the pricing page, licensing mixes users and bots, and setup is slower than Zapier or IFTTT for simple app-to-app tasks.
What it does well
- +Combines cloud automation and desktop RPA in one product
- +Fits existing Microsoft 365 identity and admin
- +Start from a prebuilt template or an agent
Where it falls short
- −No permanent free plan on the pricing page, only a 30-day trial
- −Unattended automation costs $150 per bot per month
- −Licensing is harder to read than flat task plans
- Free trial
- 30 days, cloud flows and standard connectors
- Premium
- $15 per user per month paid yearly
- Process
- $150 per bot per month paid yearly
- Hosted Process
- $215 per bot per month paid yearly
- Dataverse on Premium

14-day free trial; Pro from $37 per month with 20,000 credits
Quoted from the Gumloop pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Pro Starts at $37 / month
Gumloop rounds out the list as the most AI-centered option. Its site now leads with agents that work across 400+ connectors, run on app triggers or schedules and use any of 35+ AI models, with bring-your-own API keys supported. Pro starts at $37 a month with 20,000 credits, unlimited agents, unlimited seats and teams, shared credentials, one hosted MCP server and 5 concurrent workflow runs, and there is a 14-day free trial. Developers get Gumloop MCP and a CLI. Classic step-based automations remain as Workflows, now labeled legacy, which signals where the product is heading. That makes it a strong choice for AI-heavy work such as lead qualification, call analysis or competitor research, but a weaker one for plain app-to-app syncing, where cheaper tools on this list do the job without AI credits.
What it does well
- +Unlimited seats on Pro
- +Includes 20,000 credits a month
- +Strong fit for AI-heavy tasks such as research and lead qualification
Where it falls short
- −Most expensive entry plan among self-serve tools here
- −No permanent free plan
- −Step-based workflows are now labeled legacy
- Pro
- From $37 per month
- Credits
- 20,000 a month on Pro

Before you pick a product or a plan
Count what you will be billed for
Every tool meters a different unit. Zapier and Integrately count tasks, Make, IFTTT and Activepieces count credits, Albato counts transactions after the trigger, n8n counts whole workflow executions however many steps they have, and Power Automate charges per user or per bot. Integrately and Albato do not charge for triggers, and Pabbly Connect does not count its internal apps. Map one real workflow to each vendor's unit before comparing prices.
Check the polling interval
Free plans usually check for new data slowly. Zapier Free polls every 15 minutes and Professional every 2 minutes, IFTTT Free checks every hour, Albato Free every 15 minutes, and Integrately Free every 15 minutes. If a lead or order must move within minutes, budget for the paid tier or use webhooks.
Decide whether you need self-hosting
n8n's Community Edition and Activepieces can run on your own servers, which helps when data must stay in-house. Everything else on this list is cloud only, apart from Power Automate's desktop flows, which run on Windows machines.
Look at multi-step limits on free plans
Zapier Free allows two-step Zaps, Integrately Free is single step and Albato Free allows 2 steps per automation and 5 active automations. Activepieces, IFTTT and Make let free users build multi-step flows, so they are better places to prototype.
Treat AI features as a bonus, not the reason to buy
Most vendors now bundle AI agents or an AI builder. Zapier, Make, n8n, Activepieces, Albato and Gumloop all document agent features, and IFTTT and Make can build automations from a plain language prompt. The core question is still whether your apps are supported and what each run costs.
Questions readers ask
- What is the best no-code automation tool in 2026?
- Zapier ranks first on our list for its 9,000+ app connections, a free plan with 100 tasks a month and AI agents on every plan, with Professional from $19.99 a month billed annually. Make is a close second for visual, branching automations on a credit budget.
