The short version
CodeRabbit is the most complete dedicated reviewer: it works on GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps and Bitbucket, reviews in the IDE and CLI before a PR exists, and adds pre-merge checks and slop detection from its $24 Essentials plan. GitHub Copilot is the value pick for GitHub teams because pull request review comes with the $10 Pro plan. Greptile is the best choice when the team wants no seat fees and full codebase context, priced at $1 per credit. Qodo suits multi-repo organizations that need rules and cross-repo impact checks, and Sourcery and Bito are the cheapest per-seat options. Graphite fits teams that already stack PRs, Cursor Bugbot fits Cursor shops on GitHub, Codacy pairs review with static analysis and coverage, and CodeAnt AI bundles review with security scanning but does not show a USD review price on its page.
Short answer
CodeRabbit is the best AI code review tool for engineering teams that want automated review on every pull request in 2026; GitHub Copilot suits teams already on GitHub that want review bundled with a coding assistant at $10 per user per month; Greptile has a free Starter plan for one developer, and Sourcery and Bito are the cheapest per-seat reviewers at $12 per seat per month billed annually.
This list is for engineering leads and platform teams adding an AI reviewer to pull requests, so every change gets a first pass before a human looks at it. It covers dedicated review bots such as CodeRabbit, Greptile, Qodo, Sourcery, Bito and CodeAnt AI, review built into wider developer platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Graphite and Cursor Bugbot, and code quality platforms with an AI reviewer such as Codacy. We compared documented features and published prices on each vendor's own pages and scored capabilities at 40%, ease of setup at 30% and value at 30%. Starting prices are the cheapest paid plan in USD per month that includes pull request review.

Price
Essentials $24 per developer per month billed annually or $30 monthly; Team $48; Advanced $72; free for public repositories
Quoted from the CodeRabbit pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Essentials retains the current Pro price of $30 per developer per month, or $24 per developer per month when billed annually.
CodeRabbit ranks first because it covers the most ground for a team adding AI review to pull requests. It installs on GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps and Bitbucket, posts a plain language summary and walkthrough on each PR, and reviews the same changes earlier in the IDE, the CLI and inside coding-agent loops. The Essentials plan costs $24 per developer per month billed annually, or $30 monthly, and already includes chat, learnings from prior PRs, pre-merge checks, slop detection for low-quality AI-generated PRs and one-click fixes. Team at $48 adds unit test generation, finishing touches, post-merge actions and a prioritized PR queue, and Advanced at $72 adds blast radius and continuous security monitoring. Essentials allows five PR reviews per developer each hour, with more available on consumption and a budget cap. Public repositories get free reviews forever, which makes it easy to try on an open source project first.
What it does well
- +Supports GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps and Bitbucket
- +Reviews code before a PR exists, in the IDE and CLI
- +Free reviews forever on public repositories
Where it falls short
- −Essentials covers one linked repository for multi-repo analysis
- −Unit test generation and post-merge actions need Team at $48
- −Seat pricing adds up for large teams compared with credit models
- Essentials
- $24 per developer per month billed annually, $30 monthly
- Team
- $48 per developer per month billed annually
- Advanced
- $72 per developer per month billed annually

Price
Code review included from Pro at $10 per user per month; Pro+ $39; Max $100
Quoted from the GitHub Copilot code review pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Pro $10 per month
GitHub Copilot code review ranks second because it is the cheapest way for a GitHub team to get AI review on pull requests, and it needs no separate app. Pull request reviews on github.com and file diff reviews in editors are included from Copilot Pro at $10 per user per month, alongside unlimited completions, agent mode and cloud agents. GitHub's docs list support on github.com, GitHub CLI, GitHub Mobile, VS Code, Visual Studio, Xcode and JetBrains IDEs, with Azure DevOps in public preview. Admins can turn on automatic review so Copilot reviews every pull request, and an organization policy lets developers without a Copilot license request a review. The trade-off is metering: code review draws on GitHub AI credits, and Pro includes $15 of them a month, so busy reviewers may need Pro+ at $39. It also lacks the cross-host coverage and dedicated triage features of the specialist tools higher on this list.
What it does well
- +Lowest per-seat price on this list at $10 a month
- +Review comes with completions, agent mode and cloud agents
- +No extra app to install for GitHub repositories
Where it falls short
- −Code review consumes GitHub AI credits that can run out
- −Not included in Copilot Free
- −Azure DevOps support is still a public preview and other hosts are not covered
- Pro
- $10 per user per month, $15 monthly AI credits
- Pro+
- $39 per user per month
- Max
- $100 per user per month
- Free plan
- Copilot Free exists but does not include PR reviews
- Git hosts
- GitHub, Azure DevOps in public preview

Free Starter for 1 developer with 50 credits a month; Pro $1 per credit with no seat fees
Quoted from the Greptile pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Pro has no seat fees: you pay $1 per credit, and credits are shared across your whole organization.
Greptile ranks third on the strength of its context and its pricing model. It connects to a repository, builds a graph of every function, class and dependency, and uses that graph to judge how a pull request affects the rest of the system. Its docs list GitHub Cloud and Enterprise Server, GitLab Cloud and Self-Managed, Bitbucket Cloud and Data Center, Gitea and Cursor Origin in beta. Pricing is unusual: Starter is free for one active developer with 50 credits a month, and Pro has no seat fees at all, charging $1 per credit shared across the organization. A base review uses 1 credit, a Plus review 3 and an Apex review 10, so a team chooses review depth per PR. Pro adds learning and custom context, a knowledge base, MCP, cross-repo context, analytics and Jira, Linear and Notion integrations. The catch is predictability: busy repositories running deep reviews will cost more than a flat seat.
What it does well
- +Permanent free Starter plan with 50 credits a month
- +No seat fees, so occasional reviewers cost nothing extra
- +Broad Git host support including Gitea and self-managed GitLab
Where it falls short
- −Free Starter is limited to one active developer
- −Costs scale with review volume and depth, which is harder to budget
- −Perforce and Bitbucket Data Center need Enterprise or on-prem
- Free plan
- Starter, 1 active developer, 50 credits per month
- Pro
- $1 per credit, unlimited developers
- Review credits
- Base 1, Plus 3, Apex 10
- Free trial
- 14 days on Pro
- Startups
- 500 free credits a month for 6 months for eligible pre-Series A startups

Price
Pro Team from $30 per month for 2,000 pooled credits; Enterprise custom; free for qualified open source projects
Quoted from the Qodo pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Pro Team $30
Qodo ranks fourth because it goes furthest on governance for organizations with many repositories. Its multi-agent review enforces organizational standards on every pull request, its rules system turns PR history into standards, and its cross-repo software map flags changes that would break downstream services. Docs list installs for GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps, with Gerrit on Enterprise. Pro Team pricing is credit-based: packs start at $30 a month for 2,000 credits, which Qodo estimates at about 14 reviews, and larger packs of 4,000 and 16,000 credits cover roughly 29 and 114 reviews. Credits cost $0.015 each, are pooled across the team and continue into overage at the same rate up to a cap you set. There are no limits on repositories, users or reviews. The downside is cost visibility: the entry pack is small, credits expire monthly, and there is no permanent free tier after the 14-day trial.
What it does well
- +No limits on repositories, users or reviews
- +Credits are pooled across the team with a customer-set overage cap
- +Covers GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps
Where it falls short
- −No permanent free tier after the 14-day trial
- −The $30 pack covers about 14 reviews a month, so most teams need a bigger pack
- −Unused credits expire at the end of each month
- Pro Team
- From $30 per month, 2,000 credits, about 14 reviews
- Credit price
- $0.015 per credit, pooled across the team
- Team size
- Pro Team designed for up to 30 users
- Free trial
- 14 days, no credit card
- Open source
- Free access for qualified projects

Price
Free for open source; Pro $12 per developer per month billed annually or $15 monthly; Team $24 or $30
Quoted from the Sourcery pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Pro costs $12 per seat per month instead of $15, and Team costs $24 instead of $30.
Sourcery ranks fifth as the best low-cost reviewer for teams on GitHub or GitLab. Pro costs $12 per developer per month billed annually, or $15 monthly, and adds AI reviews on private repositories, higher review limits and Jira integration on top of the free Open Source plan. Every plan includes PR summaries and diagrams, one-click fixes, custom review rules, auto-approval for low-risk PRs and security checks on every pull request. Team at $24 adds codebase security with nightly scans of 50 repositories, an issues dashboard and team analytics. Sourcery reviews merge requests on GitLab.com and self-managed GitLab on every plan, while GitHub Enterprise Server and self-hosting sit on Enterprise. It says it keeps no copy of your code after a review and does not train models on it. The limits are platform reach, with no Bitbucket or Azure DevOps listed, and a narrower feature set than CodeRabbit or Qodo.
What it does well
- +Free forever for public repositories, including security checks
- +Works on GitLab.com and self-managed GitLab on every plan
- +Every paid plan starts with 14 days of Team and no card
Where it falls short
- −No Bitbucket or Azure DevOps support listed
- −GitHub Enterprise Server needs the Enterprise plan
- −Fewer agent and triage features than the top three
- Open Source
- Free forever for public repos
- Pro
- $12 per developer per month billed annually, $15 monthly
- Team
- $24 per developer per month billed annually, $30 monthly

Price
Free Hobby plan; Starter $20 per user per month billed annually; Team $40 with unlimited AI reviews
Quoted from the Graphite pricing page on November 7, 2026:
$ 20 Per user/month, billed annually
Graphite ranks sixth because AI review is one part of a broader pull request workflow rather than a standalone bot. It is built around stacked PRs, with a CLI, a VS Code extension and MCP, an inbox for pull requests, and on paid plans a merge queue, insights and automations. AI reviews post suggested fixes and CI summaries, and Graphite Chat lets reviewers take suggestions in one click inside GitHub. The free Hobby plan covers personal account repositories with limited AI reviews. Starter costs $20 per user per month billed annually and adds organization repositories, Slack notifications and team insights, but AI reviews and Chat stay limited. Team at $40 is the plan that unlocks unlimited AI reviews, review customization, automations and the merge queue. Graphite only works with GitHub, with GitHub Enterprise Server support on Enterprise, so teams on other hosts cannot use it.
What it does well
- +Free Hobby plan for personal repositories
- +Combines review, stacking and merge queue in one tool
- +Unlimited AI reviews on Team
Where it falls short
- −GitHub only
- −Starter limits AI reviews and Chat, so unlimited review needs Team at $40
- −Hobby covers personal account repos, not organization repos
- Hobby
- Free, personal account repos, limited AI reviews
- Starter
- $20 per user per month billed annually
- Team
- $40 per user per month billed annually, unlimited AI reviews
- Annual discount
- 20% off with annual billing
- Git host

Team $12 per seat per month billed annually or $15 monthly; Professional $20 or $25; usage above 5K lines per seat billed at $5 per 1K
Quoted from the Bito pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Team $12 $15 monthly per seat
Bito ranks seventh as a low-cost reviewer with wide Git and editor coverage. The Team plan costs $12 per seat per month billed annually, or $15 monthly, and covers AI code reviews in Git, the IDE and the CLI, codebase-aware feedback, one-click fixes and review analytics. It works with GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket and with VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Cursor and Windsurf. Professional at $20 billed annually adds custom review guidelines, learning from feedback, Jira, Confluence and Google Docs context, and reviews in CI/CD pipelines, plus a self-hosted option for $5 per seat a month. Both plans include 5K reviewed lines per seat each month and charge $5 per 1K lines after that, so very large PRs can push the bill above the headline price. Bito also sells context engine and model routing products, but those are separate from the review seats.
What it does well
- +Ties with Sourcery for the lowest per-seat price at $12
- +Covers GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket
- +Self-hosted option on Professional as a $5 per seat add-on
Where it falls short
- −Each seat includes 5K reviewed lines a month, then $5 per 1K lines
- −Custom guidelines and learning need Professional at $20
- −No Azure DevOps support listed
- Team
- $12 per seat per month billed annually, $15 monthly
- Professional
- $20 per seat per month billed annually, $25 monthly
- Included usage
- 5K lines per seat per month, $5 per 1K after
- Free trial
- 14 days on Professional, no credit card
- Self-hosting
- $5 per seat per month add-on on Professional

Free Developer plan for local analysis; Team from $18 per developer per month billed yearly or $21 monthly; Business custom
Quoted from the Codacy pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Starting at $18 Per dev/mth
Codacy ranks ninth because AI review is part of a wider code quality and security platform rather than its whole focus. The Team plan starts at $18 per developer per month billed yearly, or $21 monthly, and adds GitHub, Bitbucket and GitLab integration, cloud-hosted quality and security scans, up to 100 private repositories with unlimited lines of code, the AI Reviewer with merge gates for pull requests, shared coding standards across 49 languages, coverage reports and malicious package detection. The free Developer plan gives local analysis through agent skills, a CLI and IDE plugins for VS Code, JetBrains and Cursor, with handoff to coding agents for fixes, but it does not review pull requests. Team is designed for up to 30 developers, and larger organizations move to the custom Business plan for unlimited projects, DAST and SSO. Pick Codacy if you also need SAST, SCA and coverage gates, not only AI comments.
What it does well
- +Combines AI review with static analysis, SCA and coverage
- +Free Developer plan and free for open-source projects
- +No usage limits on paid plans
Where it falls short
- −The free plan covers local analysis only, not PR review
- −Team is capped at 30 developers and 100 private repositories
- −AI review is one feature among many, with fewer review-specific controls
- Developer
- Free, local analysis in IDE and CLI
- Team
- From $18 per developer per month yearly, $21 monthly
- Team limits
- Up to 30 developers and 100 private repos
- Languages
- 49 for shared coding standards

Usage-based on Cursor plans from Premium at $30 per month; average review costs $1.00 to $1.50
Quoted from the Cursor Bugbot pricing page on November 7, 2026:
Premium Most popular $30 /month
Cursor Bugbot ranks eighth because it is strong inside one workflow but narrow outside it. When enabled, it reviews new GitHub pull requests in the background, comments on likely bugs and passes fixes to the Cursor editor or a cloud agent. Bugbot Rules let teams define coding standards and project guidelines, and Cursor says it uses a mix of frontier and in-house models, with more than half of the bugs it finds fixed by engineers. There is no separate Bugbot subscription: on individual plans reviews draw on the plan's included usage first, and on Teams plans every review bills from on-demand usage, with Cursor quoting an average of $1.00 to $1.50 a review. The cheapest plan that includes AI code reviews via Bugbot is Premium at $30 a month, since Free and Plus leave it out. It suits Cursor shops on GitHub, but teams on other hosts or other editors get less from it.
What it does well
- +Fits directly into a Cursor and GitHub workflow
- +Cursor says more than half of the bugs it finds are fixed by engineers
- +No separate Bugbot subscription to manage
Where it falls short
- −GitHub only for pull request review
- −Requires a Cursor plan from Premium at $30 a month, and Plus does not include it
- −On Teams plans every review bills from on-demand usage
- Pricing model
- Usage-based, no separate subscription
- Average review cost
- $1.00 to $1.50, by PR size and complexity
- Cheapest plan with Bugbot
- Cursor Premium, $30 per month
- Git host

No US price was listed when we checked. See the CodeAnt AI pricing page.
CodeAnt AI ranks tenth mainly because its review price could not be confirmed in USD on the pricing page when we checked, which pulls its value score down. On features it is competitive: the Premium plan lists unlimited AI code reviews, PR summaries and chat, custom review prompts, org-wide quality gates, CI/CD integrations, review dashboards, static analysis and SAST on pull requests, and PR blocking for leaked secrets and critical security issues. Its docs cover setup for GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, Bitbucket, Bitbucket Data Center, GitLab including self-hosted, and Azure DevOps, so it reaches more hosts than most tools here. Jira and Azure Boards integrations come on Premium, while on-prem or VPC deployment, SSO, SAML and SCIM need Enterprise. CodeAnt also sells AI pentesting, code security, code quality and developer metrics products, so confirm which bundle a quote covers.
What it does well
- +Covers GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps
- +Bundles review with security scanning and PR blocking
- +On-prem or VPC deployment on Enterprise
Where it falls short
- −The pricing page did not show a USD review price when we checked

Before you pick a product or a plan
Match the tool to your Git host first
Git host support varies more than features do. CodeRabbit, Qodo and CodeAnt AI cover GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps. Greptile covers GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Gitea. Graphite and Cursor Bugbot work on GitHub, and Copilot code review runs on GitHub with Azure DevOps in public preview. Check self-managed and Data Center support if you host your own Git.
Choose between seats and usage
CodeRabbit, Sourcery, Bito, Graphite and Codacy charge per developer. Greptile charges $1 per credit with no seat fees, Qodo sells pooled credit packs from $30 a month, and Cursor bills Bugbot reviews from usage at an average of $1.00 to $1.50 a review. Usage pricing is cheaper for teams with few PRs, and seats are easier to budget for busy teams.
Look at what happens before the pull request
Several tools now review code in the editor or command line so problems get fixed before a PR opens. CodeRabbit reviews in the PR, CLI, IDE and agent loops, Qodo has pre-PR review skills, Bito reviews in Git, IDE and CLI, and Codacy runs local scans through its free Developer plan.
Check how the reviewer learns your standards
Generic comments get ignored. CodeRabbit learns from feedback and stores learnings, Qodo runs a rules system built from PR history, Greptile offers learning and custom context on Pro, Sourcery and Bito support custom review rules, and Bugbot uses Bugbot Rules. Ask how rules are written and who can edit them.
Plan for security and data controls
Self-hosting, SSO and bring-your-own-key options usually sit on enterprise plans. Greptile, Qodo, Sourcery and Bito list self-hosted or on-prem deployment, and Sourcery and Qodo say they do not train models on your code. Confirm data retention terms before connecting private repositories.

- GitHub Copilot Pro includes pull request review at $10 per user per month. Among dedicated reviewers, Sourcery Pro and Bito Team cost $12 per seat per month billed annually. Greptile has no seat fees and charges $1 per credit, with a base review using one credit.
- Which AI code review tools work with GitLab, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps?
- CodeRabbit, Qodo and CodeAnt AI support GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps. Greptile supports GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Gitea, Bito and Codacy support GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket, and Sourcery supports GitHub and GitLab. Graphite and Cursor Bugbot are GitHub only.
- Does GitHub Copilot code review cost extra?
- Pull request review is included in Copilot Pro, Pro+ and Max, but not in Copilot Free. Code review consumes GitHub AI credits, and Pro includes $15 of credits a month, so heavy use may require Pro+ at $39 per user per month.
