IBM has folded its conversational assistant into watsonx Orchestrate: the watsonx Assistant product and pricing pages now redirect there. Orchestrate is broader than a chatbot builder. You build agents with workflow and document processing, pick from a catalog of agents, tools and integrations, and create custom tools, then manage everything from a control plane that shows owners, dependencies, activity and cost. It can also scan and bring in third-party agents, such as those running in Amazon Bedrock, so governance covers more than IBM's own stack. Customer service is one of the main use cases, with agents that act, complete work and escalate exceptions. Pricing is published: a 30-day free trial, Essentials from $578 per month, Standard from $6,360 per month and a custom Premium plan with data isolation and a HIPAA-ready option. The product pages say little about voice channels or languages, so confirm channel support before choosing it for a customer-facing assistant.
